Let's Do It

Let's Download A Video File!

(Updated January 2016)

WinRAR and IDM are installed.  A specific download folder or the (Desktop) has been nominated as a target for everything in IDM so we know where the file will download to.

You are using Firefox and you have the AdblockPlus, Web Of Trust and SkipScreen addons installed and working!  Remember, AdblockPlus, or any pop up blocker will be a 'must have'!

We have found a TV Show file we want to download in RapidMoviez.  It is a matroska file made by MsD.

We have clicked on the show we wish to download and the lower section of the download page appears like the screenshot below.

The top two links in the example above (RapidRAR and Uploaded.net) are both 'paid for' websites. They do have 'free options' but these are usually quite slow. Hugefiles is the 'free' download site so we double click on the Hugefiles link and go to a new page.  The lower portion of the newly opened page can be seen below.

We type the "Captcha" phrase Picture Frame into "Your Answer" and click on "Free Download" as in the shot above. A new screen opens!  You have a short wait for your "Captcha" to appear when using Hugefiles so be a little patient.

At the lower section of the newly opened page we find what is shown below.  Ignore all options to click to and to download

ONLY click on "Create Download Link" at the foot of the final page (see above) and the pop up screen below should open in Internet Download Manager after a short while.

We click on "Start Download" and the download begins (with Internet Download Manager).  Feel free to use any downloader, even the one which came with your browser would probably be OK.  I am just used to working with IDM (Internet Download Manager)!

After some time our 'download' is completed and the .rar file sits on the desktop (as set up for where downloads are to go in Internet Download Manager).

Note the illustrations used below are for demonstration purposes only and were NOT downloaded via the Hugefiles demonstration above.

To see the .rar file you need to have your computer set to show file extensions, ie the type of file it is, eg .doc .jpg, .avi, mp4 etc.  Your computer comes without this option being set.

To show the file extension go to Control Panel > Folder Options >  the View tab, and then 'de select' "Hide extensions for known file types". While you are there select "Show hidden files, folders and drives." Now the file will appear with .rar at the end.

We have installed Winrar so now we right click on the .rar file (above) and select Extract to t.s01e04.480p.u258412.Rapidmoviez.com folder from the options available. Our files in the t.s01e04.480p.u258412.Rapidmoviez.com folder appear as below after extraction.

We delete the rubbish files (info.txt, rapidmoviez link and release link) and rename our video file so it now looks like the illustration below!

There is a free .pdf download of the above instructions here.  Click to download/open

The renaming format can be important if you later wish to create 'moviesheets' for your WDTV Live SMP Media Player.  You can find out more about moviesheets HERE.  Creating Movie Sheets is not a pre requisite to being able to download Movies or TV Shows.

The method listed above is a reasonably straight forward process when downloading from "RapidMoviez".  Downloading from other download sites is basically the same except you may get several "Skip Ads" pages as you make your way through to the download links. There was only one free weblink choice in the above example (Hugefiles), other sites could give you several 'free' choices.

Clicknupload and Solidfiles download relatively quickly as well.
